Incident Summary:

11/27/2018: Assailants severed an oil pipeline in Mayuriaga, Loreto, Peru. Technicians were also physically prevented from halting the spill. There were no reported casualties in the attack. Wampis extremists allegedly sent a letter to Petroperú, a state oil company, threatening to target the oil pipeline unless recent election results were deemed invalid. Other members of the community denied involvement in the attack.
