Incident Summary:

12/17/2018: Assailants in Bangladesh opened fire on a Myanmar police patrol in Maungdaw district, Rakhine, Myanmar. One police officer was injured and another was reported missing in the ensuing clash. The missing officer, Aung Kyaw Thet, was killed and his body was recovered in Bangladesh on December 21, 2018. No group claimed responsibility for the incident.
