12/27/2018: Assailants abducted Issiaka Tamboura, the editor of Le Soft newspaper, between Nokara and Boni in Mopti, Mali. The hostage was released on February 19, 2019. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Muslim extremists.
