12/31/2018: Assailants equipped with mortars attacked a security checkpoint in aha al-Rashid, Muqdadiyah, Diyala, Iraq. At least two soldiers soldier were killed and two soldiers were injured in the incident. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the attack.
