Incident Summary:
01/01/2019: Assailants equipped with firearms and rocket propelled grenades attacked an army camp in Mandozai, Kandahar, Afghanistan. In addition, multiple explosive devices detonated in a tunnel under the base. At least five soldiers were killed and six soldiers were injured in the assault. The assailants sustained an unknown number of casualties. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident.

Criteria 1

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
