Incident Summary:

01/28/2019: Assailants opened fire on a military aircraft as it was attempting to land at Mapenduma Airport in Mapenduma, Papau, Indonesia. At least one soldier was killed and another soldier was injured in the assault. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Free Papua Movement (OPM-Organisasi Papua Merdeka).
