02/01/2019: Assailants abducted two suspected police informants in Kosmi, Gadchiroli district, Maharashtra, India. Both hostages, identified as Nirmal Goswami and Samru Kosmi, were killed the following day. The Communist Party of India - Maoist (CPI-Maoist) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the victims were targeted for being police informants.
