02/05/2019: An assailant opened fire at a joint military and police checkpoint in Lapid-Lapid, Tawi-Tawi Philippines. The assailant was shot and killed in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG).
