Incident Summary:

02/00/2019: Sometime between February 1, 2019, and February 28, 2019, assailants abducted Ahmed Ismail Hassan Gailan, a pro-government Giants Brigade member, in Durayhami district, Al Hudaydah, Yemen. The hostage was tortured and later died of his injuries on June 16, 2019. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Houthi extremists (Ansar Allah).
