Incident Summary:
02/16/2019: Assailants attacked an army barracks in Gajigana, Monguno, Borno, Nigeria. At least six soldiers and three assailants were killed and 18 other soldiers were injured in the incident. This was one of three coordinated attacks in Borno and Yobe on the same day. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the incidents to the Al-Barnawi faction of Boko Haram, also known as the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).
