Incident Summary:

02/21/2019: An explosives-laden vehicle detonated near a minibus transporting al-Omar Oil Field workers and a Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) convoy at a market in Shahil, Deir ez-Zor, Syria. At least 20 people, including 14 oil workers and six SDF members, were killed and dozens of other people were injured in the blast. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the attack.
