Incident Summary:

03/08/2019: Assailants opened fire on a military post in Woulwa, near Gueskerou, Diffa, Niger. In addition to 27 assailants, at least seven soldiers were killed and at least 20 soldiers and an unknown number of assailants were injured in the assault. The Al-Barnawi faction of Boko Haram, also known as the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), claimed responsibility for the attack.
