Incident Summary:
03/28/2019: Assailants attacked police officers responding to the scene of earlier incidents on the outskirts of Ghazni, Afghanistan. This was one of three related incidents in and around Ghazni on the same day. At least nine police officers were killed and six other officers were injured while the assailants sustained an unknown number of casualties across all three assaults. In addition, a mortar fired during the clashes struck a school in Andar district, killing four students and injuring 15 other students and two teachers. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attacks.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
