Incident Summary:

04/09/2019: Assailants raided Fuqaha town in Jufra, Libya. At least two people, a local council official and a municipal guard member, were killed and one person was abducted in the attack. The hostage was rescued by security forces later the same day. The assailants also set fire to houses and the local guard headquarters. The Fezzan Province of the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the incident.
