Incident Summary:

05/25/2019: An explosive device detonated near a vehicle transporting soldiers and a journalist to the scene of a previous attack at an army barracks in Balgaram, Lac, Chad. At least four people, including soldiers and a journalist, were killed and 11 others were wounded in the blast. This was one of two coordinated incidents near the army barracks overnight. The Al-Barnawi faction of Boko Haram, also known as the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), claimed responsibility for the attacks.
