05/27/2019: Assailants attacked a checkpost in Maydan Shahr, Wardak, Afghanistan. At least nine people were killed in the incident. Two other officers were abducted and their whereabouts are unknown. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Taliban.
