06/07/2019: Assailants abducted a member of the Christian community in Kintchendi, Diffa, Niger. The hostage was released on June 10, 2019. The Al-Barnawi faction of Boko Haram, also known as the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), claimed responsibility for the attack and threatened other Christians in the area to leave.
