06/30/2019: Assailants attacked a village of ethnic Fulani in Saran, Mopti, Mali. This was one of three related incidents across the Mopti region on this night. At least 23 people were killed and 300 more were missing across all three attacks. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Dogon extremists.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.

Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
