07/08/2019: Assailants attacked a military checkpoint in Siah Sang, Daykundi, Afghanistan. This was one of two related attacks targeting checkpoints in Kajran district on this date. At least 33 people, including 30 assailants and three soldiers, were killed across the ensuing clashes. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attacks to the Taliban.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
