08/17/2019: Assailants disrupted a cultural festival and attacked Ike Ekweremadu, Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate, in Nuremberg, Bavaria, Germany. There were no reported casualties in the attack. The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) claimed responsibility for the incident at the scene and "began to complain about the killings in the South East, stressing that there would be no Igbo event at the venue."
