Incident Summary:

08/18/2019: Assailants set fire to forest land in Urla, Izmir, Turkey. There were no reported casualties in the attack. This was one of four related arson incidents in Turkey on the same day. The Children of the Fire Initiative claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attacks were in retaliation for recent counter-terrorism operations and trustee appointments made by the government.
