08/19/2019: Assailants attacked and disarmed security guards at a quarry in Quezon Heights, Balingasag, Misamis Oriental, Philippines. There were no reported casualties in the attack. The New People's Army (NPA) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attack was carried out in retaliation for pollution and disease allegedly caused by Minergy Energy Systems, Inc.

Criteria
Criteria 1

Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
