08/30/2019: Assailants attacked Nigerian soldiers along Gajiram-Monguno road near Gasarwa, Nganzai, Borno, Nigeria. Eight soldiers were killed and five others went missing in the ensuing clash. The whereabouts of the missing soldiers are unknown. The Al-Barnawi faction of Boko Haram, also known as the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), claimed responsibility for the incident.
