Incident Summary:

09/24/2019: An explosive device detonated outside a campaign office for President Ashraf Ghani in Kandahar, Afghanistan. At least four people, including journalist Abdul Hamid Hotaki, were killed and seven other people were injured in the blast. This was one of two attacks targeting Ghani campaign offices within 24 hours. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incidents.
