Incident Summary:
10/10/2019: A roadside bomb detonated targeting an Iraqi security force vehicle responding to a previous attack in Khanaqin, Diyala, Iraq. Two police officers were killed and three others were injured in the attack. This was one of two related attacks in Khanaqin on this date. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
Criterion 2

Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
