Incident Summary:

10/28/2019: Assailants intercepted internally displaced people and torched their host village of Bijombo, South Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is unclear if there were casualties, but several houses were burned in the attack. This was one of at least five attacks targeting South Kivu within 24 hours. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Mayi Mayi.
