Incident Summary:

11/08/2019: Assailants abducted Jean Ndel Ndongo, an army officer, in Yoke, South-West, Cameroon. Ndongo was killed later the same day when the assailants buried him alive. Separatists claimed responsibility for the incident and stated they carried out the attack in retaliation for the killing of one of their commanders, Wazuzu, in the prior week.
