11/20/2019: Assailants set fire to a Catholic church and abducted 10 people in Mavete, North Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo. At least 12 people were killed in the attack and the outcome of the kidnapping is unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF).

Criteria 1

Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
