12/22/2019: Assailants armed with rocket propelled grenades and firearms attacked a military patrol in Tungushe, Borno, Nigeria. At least six soldiers and three assailants were killed in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the incident to the Al-Barnawi faction of Boko Haram, also known as the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).
