Incident Summary:

12/27/2019: Assailants fired approximately 30 Katyusha rockets targeting the K1 military base in Kirkuk, Iraq. One United States civilian contractor was killed and four United States soldiers and two Iraqi soldiers were injured in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Kata'ib Hezbollah and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
