01/08/2020: A suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden vehicle at a checkpoint outside of the Presidential Palace and Parliament in the Sayidka area, Mogadishu, Somalia. In addition to the assailant, five people were killed and 11 others were injured in the blast. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the incident.
