Incident Summary:
02/08/2020: An assailant opened fire on police officers inside a police van after asking for directions near Simpson and Barretto Streets in Hunts Point neighborhood, Bronx, New York City, United States. At least one officer was injured in the assault. This was one of two attacks carried out targeting police officers by the same assailant within 12 hours. Authorities arrested Robert Williams in connection with the attack. During interrogation, Williams stated that he was "tired of police officers."
