Incident Summary:

02/14/2020: Assailants abducted 20 sailors, including 14 Indian citizens, five Bangladeshi citizens, and one Egyptian citizen, from a cargo ship near Al Salif, Al Hudaydah, Yemen. The Egyptian sailor was released as of December 4, 2020; the Indian sailors were released as of December 5, 2020; and the Bangladeshi sailors were released as of January 10, 2021. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to Houthi extremists (Ansar Allah).
