02/25/2020: An explosive device detonated targeting the vehicle of Lieutenant Colonel Ahmad Shahata Abd Al-Maqsoud in Arish, North Sinai, Egypt. At least three soldiers, including Abd Al-Maqsoud, were killed and several soldiers were injured in the blast. The Sinai Province of the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the incident.
