Incident Summary:
02/28/2020: Assailants equipped with firearms and machetes attacked civilians in Digeni, Ituri, Democratic Republic of the Congo. At least 24 civilians were killed and at least two other civilians were injured in the assault. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Cooperative for the Development of the Congo (CODECO) militia.

Criteria 1

Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
