Incident Summary:

03/01/2020: Assailants armed with rocket launchers attacked a military checkpoint in Mondoro, Mopti, Mali. In addition to an unknown number of assailant casualties, at least six soldiers were killed and 10 soldiers were injured in the attack. Jamaat Nusrat al-Islam wal Muslimin (JNIM) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attack was carried out in retaliation for military operations that resulted in the deaths of civilians.
