Incident Summary:
04/13/2020: Assailants opened fire on a Carabineros vehicle on Lleu Lleu bridge in Tirua, Bio-Bio, Chile. There were no reported casualties in the attack. This was one of two coordinated attacks in the area on the same day. Mapuche Lavkenche Resistance (RML) claimed responsibility for the incidents and stated that the attack was carried out in retaliation for police forces assisting forestry companies. A banner was also found stating: "Freedom to the political prisoners jail of Lebu Caupolican communities, Wenchun, Juan Nahuelwal, marrichiwew."

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
