04/15/2020: Assailants set fire to the vehicle of a former British Gurkha outside his residence in Maidstone, England, United Kingdom. There were no reported casualties in the attack. This was one of two similar arson incidents in Maidstone targeting members of the Nepalese Gurkha community on the same day. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources suggested that the attacks may have been related to racially motivated violence in the wake of COVID-19 fears.
