Incident Summary:

04/16/2020: Assailants attacked security checkpoints in Qala-e-Dasht, Logar, Afghanistan. At least nine soldiers and several assailants were killed and nine other soldiers were taken hostage in the incident. The outcome of the kidnapping is unknown. This was one of two attacks in the same district on this date. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the incidents to the Taliban.
