Incident Summary:

04/20/2020: Assailants attacked Hawa Shinasi military base in Khwaja Ghar, Takhar, Afghanistan. At least 18 soldiers were killed, three other members were injured, and four others went missing in the incident. Two additional soldiers were killed when the assailants attacked a military vehicle passing near the base. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Taliban.
