Incident Summary:

04/28/2020: An explosive device detonated near an electricity transmission tower south of Jawad al Bashaw, Diyala, Iraq. There were no reported casualties in the blast. This was one of two attacks targeting towers near Jawad Al Bashaw on the same day. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attack was a part of "economic warfare" on the Iraqi government.
