Incident Summary:

05/02/2020: An explosive device detonated targeting an Iraqi Volunteer Forces vehicle responding to a previous attack in Mukeshefah, Saladin, Iraq. Three volunteer fighters were killed and four fighters were injured in the blast. It is unknown whether the assailants sustained any casualties. This was one of three coordinated incidents targeting the Iraqi Volunteer Forces in Saladin on this date. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the attack and stated they were taking advantage of the "global security disruption" caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
