Incident Summary:

05/07/2020: Assailants attacked and abducted Jonas Maestro in Gusa, San Jose de Buan, Samar, Philippines. Maestro, a Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit’s Active Auxiliaries (CAFGU-CAA) member, was distributing humanitarian relief in the area and was killed on an unknown date. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the New People's Army (NPA).
