Incident Summary:

05/08/2020: Assailants abducted a member of the Tarabin tribe and a member of the Roumailat tribe in Sheikh Zuweid, North Sinai, Egypt. The member of the Roumailat tribe was released and the member of the Tarabin tribe was killed on or before May 11, 2020. Assailants placed the head of the killed hostage at a mosque in Abou Tawila, North Sinai on May 11, 2020. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Sinai Province of the Islamic State.
