Incident Summary:

05/10/2020: Assailants detonated multiple explosive devices and opened fire on military personnel escorting Saeed Sambo outside of Bama, Borno, Nigeria. Sambo, a local caretaker chairperson, was not harmed but at least 20 assailants were killed and six soldiers were injured in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to Boko Haram.
