05/20/2020: Assailants briefly held villagers hostage in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra, India. There were no reported casualties in the attack. This was one of two related attacks in the area on the same day. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Communist Party of India - Maoist (CPI-Maoist), noting that the targeted villagers had removed Maoist banners and pamphlets from the scene of an earlier attack.
