Incident Summary:

06/01/2020: An assailant armed with a samurai sword attacked a police station in Daha Selatan, South Hulu Sungai, South Kalimantan, Indonesia. One police officer was killed and another officer was injured before the assailant was shot and killed. A police vehicle was also set on fire in the assault. The East Asia Division of the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack, and the assailant was carrying a handwritten manifesto calling for Muslims to wage jihad during the incident. Sources also attributed the attack to Jamaah Ansharut Daulah.
