06/01/2020: Assailants attempted to abduct two brothers of the Sawarka tribe in Joura, North Sinai, Egypt. One of the brothers was killed and the other escaped before being kidnapped. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Sinai Province of the Islamic State.
