06/02/2020: Assailants attacked Abdullahi Sharif, a district commissioner, and his guards in Burdhubo, Jubaland, Gedo, Somalia. At least 24 guards were wounded and an unknown number of guards were killed, in addition to an unknown number of assailant casualties in the attack; however, Sharif escaped unharmed. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Al-Shabaab.
