Incident Summary:

06/14/2020: Assailants fired rocket-propelled grenades at a Safaricom mast in Warankara, Mandera, Kenya. The assailants were unable to damage the mast. In the ensuing clash with National Police Reservist (NPR), at least one reservist was abducted and later found dead and an assailant was also killed while a child was injured. No group claimed responsibility for the attack; however, sources attributed the attack to Al-Shabaab.
